Earl William Clary

Earl William Clary died Tuesday, July 10, 2007 at Sanford Health Systems in Sioux Falls. He was born on May 2, 1921 to Lee and Mary (Miller) Clary. He was raised outside of Rock Valley, Iowa on the family farm. He received his education at a country school near the Clary farm. Earl was a veteran of WWII, where he served in the Army as a paratrooper. He received the Purple Heart for his courageous service to his country. He was united in marriage to Bertha M. Koning on October 25, 1947. Earl and his wife lived and farmed outside of Hudson, South Dakota for many years. He spent his retirement years on the same farm outside of Hudson, residing there for nearly sixty years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching sports and spending time with family. Earl is survived by his wife: Bertha; son: Nathan (Paula) Clary of Flandreau, SD; grandchildren: Kimberly Clary and Matthew Pehl of Sioux Falls, SD, Matthew Clary of Omaha, NE, and Patrick Clary of Sioux Falls, SD; siblings: Mildred Gorzeman of Sheldon IA, and Kenneth (Marian) Clary of rural Sioux Falls, SD. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother: Lyle; sister: Doris Juelfs; and kopior panerai granddaughter: Dawn Clary. Memorial Service will be Friday, 10 AM, at Hudson Lutheran Church in Hudson, SD.
