Mayme Warwick

Mayme (Scanlon) Warwick, 96, gained her angel wings on April 1, 2024, in Sioux Falls, SD. She was born on February 11, 1928, to William and Annie Scanlon in Havana, ND, Mayme spent her childhood in Britton, SD. She married Norine Warwick and together they had three children: LeeAnn, Barb, and Richard.

Mayme found joy in various pursuits, including hairstyling and working at the Sioux Falls Public Library for many years. She was passionate about painting, Chinese cuisine, baking, and cherished moments spent with her family. She was an avid photographer; she meticulously compiled photo albums for her loved ones. Family was paramount to Mayme; she served as the glue that bound them together. Known for her impeccable appearance, she always ensured her hair, makeup, and nails were perfectly done.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter: LeeAnn Sichmeller (Brian Miller); grandchildren: Jessie Dant (Trent Weber), Lisa Sichmeller, Shanon Ovando (Luis Ovando), Crystal Kuhnert, Jenny Warwick, Scott Roe, James Roe (Angie Roe); as well as faithful supporters: Travis Ness and Steven Kuhnert. She is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren. Mayme is preceded in death by her former husband: Norine Warwick; son: Richard Warwick, (daughter-in-law Candy (Ganser) Warwick); daughter: Barb Dant; great-grandchild: Baby Travis; her parents: William and Annie Scanlon; and her sister: Nina Haug.
 

Visitation will be 10:00 AM, followed by a Funeral Service at 10:30 AM on Monday, April 8th, at Barnett-Lewis Funeral Home. Her burial will be held at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, with a reception following at Barnett-Lewis Funeral Home.
