Richard R. Mehlhaff, 78, passed away August 20, 2021 at his home south of Worthing, South Dakota.

Richard was born on December 19, 1942 to R.E. and Clara Mehlhaff on a farm near Tripp, South Dakota. He attended country schools in Lincoln County and Lennox High School. He served in the South Dakota National Guard.

Richard spent his lifetime farming and long haul truck driving. He enjoyed the aroma of the fresh tilled soil in the spring.

Richard is survived by his son: Jeremy (Jesse Vickers) of Charleston, S.C.; and a brother: Bob (Connie), of Sioux Falls. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be 10:00 AM Saturday, September 4, 10:00 AM at Prairie View Lutheran Church, Lennox, South Dakota with a Memorial Service at 11:00 AM.
