Eugene Arthur Stoterau

Eugene Arthur Stoterau, 86, passed away December 23 in Sioux Falls. He was born August 15, 1934 in Luverne, Minnesota to Harvey and Nora (Smith) Stoterau.

After attending school in Luverne, he worked at John Morrell for 43 years. He also worked part-time for Ronning Enterprises and still found time to coach Grey-Y basketball. He was a great supporter of Minnesota sports; Twins, Vikings and Gophers. He enjoyed fishing, and after retirement, spending summers at their acreage near Alexandria/Miltona, Minnesota where he enjoyed pondering by his garden and enjoying the wildlife; even though the wildlife enjoyed the garden, too!

Eugene was preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother, sisters-in-law: Donna Stoterau and Carmen Moe. He is survived by his wife: Marvelle (Kizer) Stoterau, Sioux Falls; son: Lynn (Maggie) Stoterau, St. Cloud, MN; grandson: Nicholas (Claire Dunlap), North St. Paul, MN; grandson: Daniel Stoterau, St. Cloud, MN; daughter: Lynda Stoterau, Sioux Falls; son: Troy (Sandy) Stoterau, grandson: Tre; granddaughter: Keiley, all of Sioux Falls; siblings: Marcia (Larry) Binford, Moorhead, MN; Dale Stoterau, Brandon, SD; Karol (Jerry) Mohs, Alexandria, MN; brother-in-law: Bob Moe, Hibbing, MN.

Memorial Service will be Saturday, September 25, 1:00 PM at Barnett-Lewis Funeral Home.
