Bruce George Dyer

Bruce George Dyer, 85 of Sioux Falls, passed away on February 26, 2022 with his family by his side.

Bruce was born March 1, 1936 to Van Duran and Leon (Howe) Dyer.

He married the love of his life Agnes (Reiter) on September 1,1956. They were married for 66 years.

Bruce served in the Marine Corp and was active in the Korean War.

He retired from the Sioux Falls School District in 1992. He loved God, family, and country.

Bruce was passionate about hunting and fishing. He spent countless weekends in a duck boat or in the ditches at Pierre waiting for the geese to fly. He could be found many days walking his dogs and/or feeding the geese at Covel Lake.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents; wife: Agnes (Reiter); and son: Christopher (Renee) Dyer. Bruce is survived by his son: James (Cindy) Dyer; daughter: Kari (Michael) Bergh; his grandchildren: Christopher, Jessica, and Cory (Kristin) Dyer, Connor and Rachel Bergh; and his great-great grandchildren: Porter Dyer, and Miles, Cash, Grace, and Isla Renner.

A Memorial Service will be Monday, March 7, 2022, 10:0 AM at Barnett-Lewis Funeral Home with burial to follow at the South Dakota State Veterans Cemetery in Sioux Falls.
