Lillian Margaret Hohn

Lillian Margaret Hohn passed away on September 5, 2008 at the Bethany Lutheran Home in Sioux Falls. Born June 13, 1922 in Wessington Springs, South Dakota, to her father James Petrosky, an immigrant from Poland and her mother Mary (Sefrna) from Germany who came to settle in South Dakota. They raised four children: Richard, Marie, Lillian & Frederick. Lillian worked during WWI building bombs for the war effort. She was united in marriage to Wilfred Hohn and raised six children. They Blessed her with 18 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Lillian served the public all of her life as a waitress; and retired at the age of 75 to finally stay at home with her husband. Lillian died at the age of 86, leaving behind all who love her. We will forever miss her. Lillian is survived by her children: Alan (Jeannie) Hohn, Galt, CA, Rodney (Diane) Hohn, Wellsville, KS, Brenda (Bob) Rysavy, Sioux Falls, SD, Kevin (Guyla) Hohn, Sioux Falls, SD, James Hohn, Sioux Falls, SD; daughter-in-law: LaVonne Hohn,; Renner, SD; sister: Marie Simmons, Wessington Springs, SD; and many neices and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, half-sister: Rose Petrick; brothers: Frederick and Richard; and a son: Everrett. Visitation will be Tuesday, 4 PM at Barnett-Lewis Funeral Home with a Scripture Service at 6:30 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, 10:30 AM at St. Joseph Cathedral.
